What does a calibration involve?

Q107 - Service & Repair

A new instrument is supplied with a Specification conformance certificate.
Units returned for recalibration are supplied with a Calibration certificate.

Both of these documents certify that the performance of the instrument complies with the published specifications and that this instrument has been calibrated against standards that are traceable to UK National Standards.

Current Redpost instruments use a passive calibration routine that does not involve any changes to the instrument. If an instrument does not test within specification then any changes required to allow the instrument to pass are considered a repair, you will be informed and quoted for the additional work.
