At Redpost we are committed to minimising the impact of our activities on the environment. It is our intention to meet or exceed all relevant environmental legislation and to provide a product range which minimises the environmental impact of both production and distribution.

One of the core functions of Redpost equipment is to improve energy efficiency, energy that would otherwise be wasted, unnecessarily releasing pollution, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

  • Recycling & Waste
    • Our policy is to continually evaluate our operations, ensuring they are as efficient as possible in order to minimise waste.
    • Waste paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, metal and batteries are all recycled.
    • Wherever possible other waste products are reused, otherwise they are responsibly disposed of.
  • Packaging
    • Redpost only use recycled, recyclable and reusable packaging to ship our products. Packaging received from suppliers is reused wherever possible.
  • Energy
    • The electricity powering our site is from renewable sources; solar, wind and hydroelecticity. Due to our rural location we must use LPG for heating our premises, so we participate in carbon offsetting, this provides support to sustainability projects that deliver equivalent carbon savings, making our heating carbon neutral.
  • RoHS
    • Monitoring equipment was previously exempted from RoHS regulations, however Redpost achieved voluntary compliance before the exemption was lifted in order to reduce our impact on the environment.
  • REACH
    • You can view our REACH declaration here.
  • WEEE
    • Redpost is registered with a WEEE compliance scheme number WEE/EH0749YY and therefore fulfil its obligations in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006.
  • Industrial Batteries
    • As a producer of industrial batteries under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, we Redpost Electronic Products Ltd produce Lead Acid, NiMH and Lithium batteries.
    • We are obliged to take back free of charge, waste industrial batteries supplied to an end user for treatment and recycling. If any of our customers or in certain cases other end users, require us to take back Industrial batteries, they should contact us here.
    • We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of the waste industrial batteries.
